I had a set of Cleveland CG golds (the precursor to the CG7s). I made the mistake of being wowed by the hype and marketing of another brand that promised incredible distance and consistency in their irons. While this other set that I bought was a good set of irons (Taylormade 2009 Burners), I began to find myself feeling nostalgic for my CG golds which I gave to a friend. I went to the golf shop and hit the CG7s for about an hour and decided right then that I had to have them. They were fit for me (std length, and 2 deg flat), arrived within a week and were everything I had hoped. And guess what..I am getting MORE distance and much better accuracy with the CG7s than I got from the Burners! And they have that legendary Cleveland feel that, in my opinion, no other manufacturer comes close to. I have tried all the big names: Taylormade, Callaway,Cobra,Ping,Nike,Mizuno,Titleist..and I keep coming back to Cleveland. Don't be wowed by names, image, or hype. Give these irons an objective try and you will see exactly what I'm talking about! When I asked the pro at the golf shop about the difference between the Clevelands and Taylormades, the first thing he said was "The Clevelands are a much better product, much better designed" The CG7s will be in my bag for a long time and now I have to try and sell the Burners!
