Can't beat the priceAug 16, 2011
By James Hughes I agree with the previous reviewer completely. I have hit about 200 balls with these clubs and am really happy with them. As an absolute beginner, I wasn't expecting much from myself or my clubs, but I've already improved quite a bit using these. Cosmetically the clubs look a little cheap (especially the woods; the paint looks cheap and not very precisely applied), but all in all they feel really solid when you hit them. I think the irons are especially good for the price, as they feel particularly solid. I'm hitting well with them already.
The bag is also pretty good. It's got tons of storage and room for anything I could imagine needing. The one gripe I have is that I wish the dividers extended all the way to the bottom. Sometimes it's annoying having to jiggle all the clubs around or constantly pick up one or two others when you're trying to get the club out that you want. But honestly, it's not really that big of a deal.
I realized after practicing for a few hours that the sand wedge is definitely something you'll need, so I picked one up. You can get a decent one for $30, so that won't break the bank.
I also already had a putter so I'm not using the one that came with the set, but it feels fairly good. It's got a soft touch and a lot of spring, which strikes me as good for a beginner. I think it has a bit too much touch for me, though, so I'm going to stick with my old one.
To summarize, I'd say these are great clubs for the price, and perfect if you're just starting out. I think there's something to be said for not even paying the extra $50-100 you'd pay for "name brand" clubs that ultimately are at about the same level of quality but at a higher price because a bigger company put their name on them. Having said that, for someone who's learning, I think it's great to have the whole set at the ready so you can try different shots, so it's worth making an investment to get a set like this one.
Update: almost every cheap set of clubs on Amazon has a story about someone losing a clubhead. Now, unfortunately I have to report that the head of my 8 iron has started separating from the shaft, though fortunately it didn't fly off during a swing. However, Amazon is sending me a replacement set and the warranty department from the company also appears to handle requests quickly, should you prefer to go that route. Disappointing, to be sure, but at least you can buy with confidence, in case something does happen.

Buy this. No questions askedAug 03, 2011
By Evan I have been using these clubs for several weeks now and have had no problems whatsoever. I let some of my more avid-golfing friends try them out and they thought they were great. The bag is also very nice, it has enough pockets for anything you could possibly need on a golf course... even a water bottle holder! The stand on the bag works very well too; coming in handy quite frequently. All you have to do is lean it over and the stand folds out, then when you pick it up it folds back in.
There is not one thing i dislike about this set. I can't imagine what advantages a several hundred dollar set would bring that were really worth it. This is all you need to golf... though a sand wedge and another wood or two could be helpful
